About Gem Exteriors, Inc.

The roads toward Bull Valley bend and dip past white board fences, and the driveways off them are long enough to make a snowfall feel personal. Gem Exteriors, Inc. plows that kind of drive out of McHenry — full length, edge to edge, with the snow stacked where it will not slide back down the grade. Walks and entries get cleared by hand, and salt goes down on the shaded curves where ice hides longest. There is a small pride in a quarter mile of clean blacktop that ends at a door somebody can actually open. Winter service reaches McHenry, Bull Valley, Prairie Grove and Woodstock.
