Goonan Lawn and Landscape

About Goonan Lawn and Landscape

Spring reaches Mattoon all at once: one week the ball fields at Peterson Park are brown and quiet, the next they are loud and green and the whole town is outside again. Goonan Lawn and Landscape starts its year on that signal, opening up properties with a first clean mow, edging the borders back, trimming out everything winter left ragged, and tidying the beds so the season has somewhere to begin. From there it is steady maintenance across the warm months, and then a full turn into winter work — plowing drives and lots, clearing walks, salting where the freeze sets in overnight. Coles County gives a person plenty of both kinds of weather, and there is a real pleasure in being ready for each before it shows up. The result people want is simple: a place that looks looked after, in April and in January alike.
