About Snearley & Company

When the wind swings northwest in January there is nothing between Martinsville and the open west to slow it down, and by dark the drifts are stacked hard against every fencerow. Snearley & Company runs into that — plowing driveways and lots, cutting a path back out to the road, laying salt where ice sets up in the shade. Some storms are one clean pass and some take three, the wind refilling the lane behind the blade nearly as fast as it opens. Truck lights sweep across a white field and there is not another moving thing for a mile. Getting a family out to work by breakfast is worth the cold hours, every time.
