Neumann Lawns

About Neumann Lawns

Marquette Heights was laid out on the bluff above the Illinois River, so its streets step up the hill in terraces and nearly every lot has a piece of sky it never had to earn. Neumann Lawns keeps the turf on those terraces even and tidy: mowing to the season's height, trimming along steps, walls and mailbox posts, edging the drives so the curve of the street reads clean. April up here starts in a hurry, the grass waking while river fog is still lying in the low ground, and the cleanups that open and close the season keep beds and lawns from carrying one year into the next. The measure of the work is a hillside block where every lawn line matches. Marquette Heights, Pekin, North Pekin and Creve Coeur make up the run.
