About Long's Landscaping

Markham keeps a rare treasure inside its limits: a remnant of the tallgrass prairie that once spread across this part of Illinois. In October that patch of wild ground glows copper and rust, its grasses rippling like water when the wind comes through. Long's Landscaping tends the tamer side of the same soil, the yards where turf is meant to stay short and beds are meant to stay tidy. Fall is for cutting back spent perennials, clearing the beds and giving the lawn one last neat trim before frost. Out on the prairie the land runs free; at home, a Markham yard looks cared for and ready to rest.
