About Great Lakes Lawn & Landscape

The rises and hollows around Algonquin were pushed into place by ice a very long time ago, and every lawn in the village still sits on that handiwork — a rolling, uneven, interesting piece of ground. Great Lakes Lawn & Landscape works with the shape rather than against it: mowing across the grade, trimming the awkward corners a deck cannot reach, cutting clean borders where turf meets bed and drive. April starts with a cleanup that hauls off the winter's wreckage; the cuts that follow build color week by week until the whole yard evens out. Watching a rolling lawn take an even stripe over a hump and down the far side is a small, particular joy. That is the work brought to homes in Algonquin and the towns nearby.
