When a storm parks itself over Maple Park at midnight, somebody has to decide where all that snow is going to go. RSS Concrete & Excavating handles the plowing and the moving of it — driveways and commercial lots opened up, banks pushed back into the corners so the next storm has somewhere to land. Ice control on walks and approaches follows, because out here a clear lot with a glazed entry is only half a job. The satisfaction is mostly in the before-and-after: black asphalt at sunrise where there was nothing but white at three in the morning. Then the truck heads for the next address, and the village wakes up to a normal day.
