About Clausen Landscape & Design

The blue hour before a February dawn in Maple Park is about the quietest thing there is — the elevator by the tracks just a dark shape, the freight line still, everything under one flat white. Clausen Landscape & Design is out in it, plowing driveways and lots, shoveling stoops and walkways, laying salt where the shade keeps ice past noon. Snow this far out on the prairie is less a question of depth than of wind and refreeze, so the work is timed, not simply done. By the time the village is up and moving, the trucks have already been three places. Somebody's morning went easy and they will never know why.
