In November the grain trucks are still running the roads outside Manteno while the yards inside it are asking to be put to bed. Wicker Landscaping takes that handoff — final mowing and cleanup one week, plow blade and salt on the truck the next, whenever the first real freeze decides to show. Through the cold months it is driveways and walkways opened early, so a front door leads onto something walkable. Then the thaw comes, and the mowing and trimming start over from the top. Working a village year-round means never quite putting the work down, which suits some people fine.
