Aaron's Tree Service

About Aaron's Tree Service

Makanda wakes under fog most mornings, the sandstone bluffs coming out of it slowly and the hollows staying white until nine. Aaron's Tree Service works that country of steep drives and narrow ridges, where removing a tree means thinking hard about which way gravity already wants it to go. Pruning keeps the oaks and hickories off the cabins tucked into the hillsides; trimming keeps a drive open wide enough for the propane truck to make the turn. When a storm tears up a hollow, storm damage cleanup becomes a day of ropes and saws and one more load hauled down the switchbacks. The quiet afterward is the payment — chips in a neat pile, a clear roofline, and the ridge visible again from the porch.
