Lou's Lawn Services

About Lou's Lawn Services

Late July, seven in the evening, and the cicadas are going in the parkway trees while the last sprinklers tick over. Lou's Lawn Services finishes out days like this one street at a time, mowing and trimming until the light stretches long and orange across the fronts of the houses. Grass grows tired in the deep heat of a Maine Township summer, so the height comes up a notch, the blade stays sharp, and the color holds. Borders are run along walk and drive, and the clippings go back onto the turf where they belong. It is unhurried work, and the street looks better for it every week.
