About Sunset Landscaping & Trees

By late December the light has left Mahomet by half past four — porch lamps on, streets gone quiet, snow coming down through the glow of them. Sunset Landscaping & Trees works in that early dark with a plow, opening driveways and cutting walkways clear, laying salt wherever the cold has glazed the concrete. Then the year turns over, the evenings stretch out until nine, and the work becomes mowing and trimming across the long green run of a central Illinois summer. The village looks like two different places in the two seasons: wide and bright in July, close and lamplit in January. Both are good to work in, and both end the same way — with a property somebody is glad to pull into.
