About Stephens Lawn Care

Late spring storms build up out of the southwest across the flat, drop an inch on Mahomet in twenty minutes, and roll on east — and by the following morning every lawn in the village has made up its mind to grow. Stephens Lawn Care works the window that opens afterward, once the ground has drained enough to carry a mower and the grass is plainly asking for it. Mowing at a height that suits the month, trimming what the deck cannot reach, and holding the rhythm through the wet stretches and the dry ones: that is the whole trade, done with attention. Central Illinois soil grows grass whether anyone is ready or not. The job is to stay a step ahead of it and leave every yard looking settled.
