West of Macomb the roads run the section grid straight as string, corn on one side and beans on the other. Lawn Cowboy keeps the yards inside that grid — mowing, string trimming, edging clean along drives and walks, clippings cleared off. The wind out here has nothing to slow it down, and a lawn holding a sharp border against all that open country is a small, stubborn kind of pride. Spring and fall cleanups take the leaves and the winter's leftovers off the turf so the grass can breathe again. Come August, when the fields go tall and the air goes still, those mowed lines are the tidiest thing for miles.
