Mackinaw Valley Decks

About Mackinaw Valley Decks

South of the village the Mackinaw River runs through its own strip of timber, and when a storm tracks up out of the southwest the open ground between town and the river hands the wind everything it needs. Mackinaw Valley Decks turns to snow work in those months — plowing drives, lanes and lots, then shoveling walks, steps and the tight place behind a parked car. After the scraping, ice control goes onto the shaded stretches where an afternoon thaw refreezes by supper. A drive cleared from curb to garage door before the school buses run is a complete piece of work. Mackinaw and the nearby Tazewell County towns are covered all winter.
