About Scott's Lawn & Landscape Svc

In Lovington the horizon is the main feature — corn to the section line in every direction, the grain elevator standing over town the way a steeple would. Under that much sky a lawn is the one piece of ground a person shapes by hand, and Scott's Lawn & Landscape Svc treats it that way: cut at a height a Moultrie County July will forgive, trimmed around posts and mailboxes, edged along the walk. Late spring brings the growth that gets away from you in a single week; October brings the leaves and the last cut of the year. The finish they are after is the one you notice from the road — even color, straight lines, a clean border where grass gives way to gravel. Sullivan, Bethany and the farms between them get the same routine.
