Kaplan Snow Removal

About Kaplan Snow Removal

Winter arrives here off the water. The Chain O'Lakes holds the cold long after the rest of Lake County has let go of it, and the wind crossing Long Lake carries a wet, heavy snow that packs down hard by morning. Kaplan Snow Removal works the hours before the lake road wakes up — blade down, headlights on the drifts, salt laid at the foot of every driveway. The reward is simple and worth staying up for: a black strip of pavement, edges cut clean, and somebody who steps out at seven and just drives. Around these lakes, that is what makes a February morning ordinary again.
