Poul's Landscaping & Nursery

About Poul's Landscaping & Nursery

Long Grove keeps its oaks, and that decides nearly everything about a lawn here: dappled light most of the day, roots close to the surface, road edges running into grass with no curb to argue about. Poul's Landscaping & Nursery mows those big wooded lots on a set weekly pass, trims around the trunks and the bed lines, and edges the drives and walks so the border stays legible under all that shade. Down by the covered bridge and along Buffalo Creek the ground stays soft, and the timing of a cut matters as much as the cut itself. Spring and fall cleanups deal with what the oaks send down, which is considerable and never on schedule. A yard left even and finished, with the shade pattern drifting across it, is the look this village has always had.
