At three in the morning on Burlington Avenue there is nothing moving but the plow lights and the snow coming sideways through them. steve's lawn & snow works that hour in Lisle, pushing driveways and lots open, shoveling out walks and steps, salting so the afternoon melt does not come back as ice by seven. Clipper storms drop fast here, and wind will fill a cleared apron right back in if it sits too long, so the route runs twice when it has to. The entire point is that somebody backs out at six-thirty and never gives it a second thought. Quiet work, and worth doing right.
