Route 66 still runs through Lincoln, the freight still comes through at night, and between the two the town gets on with its year. Pedros Lawn Care takes both ends of that year, mowing, trimming and edging through the green months, then plows, shovels and salt when a system slides down out of Iowa. Snow here is a wind problem as much as a snow problem, and a drive can fill in twice before daylight. Come May the same yards want a straight cut, a clean edge and a sidewalk brushed bare afterward. One job in two costumes, and the town has need of both.
