About APB Snow Plow, Inc

The canal through Lemont never freezes all the way; it just goes still and dark, and a barge light slides past like the end of a longer story. APB Snow Plow, Inc works the hours on either side of that stillness, when the village is asleep and the only other sound is a blade dropping somewhere down the block. Plowing here means knowing which lots pool at the low end and which drives climb away from the river before they ever meet the street. The pride is simple: a lot opened to its corners, the curb line found again, pavement dark by the time the first headlights turn in. Snow work for Lemont and the towns strung along the valley, one storm at a time.
