WJS Lawn Care

About WJS Lawn Care

You could set a mowing schedule by the trains in La Grange — the commuter line running east all morning past the old depot, the village waking up under a canopy of oaks that predate most of the porches beneath them. WJS Lawn Care works those deep-shaded yards, where grass grows thin under the big trees and wants a careful cut, along with the sunny corner lots that grow twice as fast. Mowing, trimming along the wrought-iron fences and garden beds, edging the front walk and the alley apron: that's the week, start to finish. Cleanups bookend the season, once in spring and again when the last leaves come down. It's a village that shows its care in the details, and holding up that end of it makes for a good day's work.
