About Joe's Landscaping

On a summer Saturday in La Grange Park the street is a tunnel of parkway trees and the front lawns run one into the next, brick house after brick house, all the way toward Salt Creek. Joe's Landscaping mows those yards on a set turn, trims around the foundation plantings and the fence posts, and edges the walks so the concrete shows a clean border. Spring means getting winter off the grass; autumn means staying ahead of everything those old trees drop. The lots here are modest and the standards are not — on a block like this one shaggy yard is visible from the corner. Leaving a lawn cut even, with its edges drawn, is what keeps the whole street looking like itself.
