Kendall Land & Tree

About Kendall Land & Tree

The Fox River cuts through this corner of the county in a green trench of oak and limestone, and the ground above it — old corn ground, now streets and front yards — rolls just enough to catch the weather. Kendall Land & Tree keeps that grass on a mowing rotation right through the growing months, trimming and edging so the lines read clean from the sidewalk, and takes the leaves off in November when the bur oaks finally give up. Then the wind swings northwest and the job changes. Plowing, shoveling, salting: drives cleared wide, walks opened to the concrete, ice knocked down before it can set. Watching a whole street come back to life on a white morning is worth the early alarm.
