About Big Country Services LLC

In Kaneville the snow seldom falls straight down. It comes across a mile of open stubble on a west wind and stacks itself into a drift right where the driveway meets the road, taller by the hour. Big Country Services LLC runs at that drift with a plow while most of Kane County is still asleep, cutting it back, widening the turnaround, then salting the apron so it does not glaze over by noon. Walks get shoveled down to the concrete, because half-cleared is the kind that catches somebody. By the time the sun comes up gray over the fields toward Elburn, the lane is open and the day can happen.
