About Housman's Landscaping

Spring reaches Jonesboro before it reaches most of Illinois: redbud goes purple along the hollows, dogwood lights the timber on the ridges above town, and the grass takes off while the rest of the state is still brown. Housman's Landscaping steps into that season with mowing, trimming and edging, and the cleanups that clear a winter's worth of leaf litter off the beds and out of the corners. Union County yards sit on ground that rolls — slopes, terraces, patches of shade under old hardwood — so the cutting is done to fit the land instead of fighting it. The satisfaction is in the finish: a hillside lawn with an even face on it, the walk swept, the line along the drive clean where lawn meets gravel. From the first cut of April to the last of October, that is the work, done one yard at a time.
