About Friendly's Outdoor Services

A summer thunderstorm can cross the Illinois sky in under an hour, and in Johnson the grass answers each one by shooting up thick and quick. Friendly's Outdoor Services keeps pace with that growth, returning to bring lawns back down to a trim, uniform height once the ground has firmed enough to carry the mower. In the washed light after the rain, with the air smelling of wet earth, the trimmer runs along fence posts and foundations, and the branches the wind dropped are picked up before the first pass. There is a particular joy in watching a storm-tossed lawn come back to order under a clearing sky. The name says friendly, and the work matches it: a yard set right again, the walk brushed off, everything ready for the next blue afternoon.
