Turner Tree Service

About Turner Tree Service

Jacksonville was laid out around a square and then grew a canopy over the top of it, and by mid-October the walk from the courthouse block out toward the college is worth taking slowly. Turner Tree Service keeps that canopy honest: pruning the old street trees so they hold their shape, trimming back whatever leans across the sidewalk, removing the ones that hollowed out years ago. Morgan County catches straight-line wind off the open farmland west of town, and the storm damage cleanup afterward is unglamorous and necessary — limbs cut to length, brush chipped, the curb swept clean. There is real pride in a yard that looks tended rather than merely trimmed. Jacksonville, Chapin, Franklin, Waverly and South Jacksonville are on the list.
