Hopedale is a village, a grain elevator and section roads going out square in every direction. D&A mowing and scapes works it straight through the year. Warm months: mow, trim the fence lines and posts, edge the walks, clear the yard when the leaves come down. Cold months: plow the drives open, shovel the walks, salt whatever turns to ice, and be done early enough that trucks can get out to the fields and the road. Flat country takes its weather head on, with nothing standing in the way to break it. Working the same yards through both halves of the year means knowing where every culvert and gravel edge is hiding.
