About Gerardo's Landscaping & Snow Removal LLC

Highwood is a narrow town packed between the ravines and Lake Michigan, and weather comes in off that water with very little warning. Gerardo's Landscaping & Snow Removal LLC works both ends of the calendar here — mowing and trimming the tight lots through the warm months, edging the walks along close-set streets, pulling leaves out of the ravine-side yards each fall. Then winter arrives wet and heavy off the lake, and the same crew is out plowing drives, shoveling stairs and stoops, and salting walkways ahead of the morning trains. Compact properties leave no room for a sloppy pass, so each one gets finished all the way to its corners. The town is small enough that the work shows on a whole street at once.
