Roots & Boots Lawn Care

About Roots & Boots Lawn Care

The ground around Herrin is honest clay, and after a spring rain it will take a boot print and hold onto it until Thursday. Roots & Boots Lawn Care works with that rather than against it — mowing on the days the turf can carry a machine, trimming and edging by hand where the ground stays soft, cleanups, mulch worked in around beds and tree rings. There is real pleasure in the last pass over a yard, when the pattern lines up, the walk is blown clear, and the whole lot sits square to the house. Grass out here rewards steadiness more than anything else: same day, same height, week after week from the first warm stretch to the last. Boots muddy, edges sharp, yard right.
