About Atkins Outdoor Services

Late-summer afternoons around Herrin have a habit of stacking thunderheads out west over the Big Muddy bottoms, and anybody who works outdoors here learns to read that sky. Atkins Outdoor Services keeps the lawn work moving between those storms — mowing, trimming, mulch laid down around beds and young trees, hedges shaped back from the porch rail. Southern Illinois summers push fescue hard, so cut height matters and so does timing. What comes of it is simple and worth looking at: a yard holding its color into September, edges drawn true along the drive, beds dark and settled after a rain. It is outdoor work in a corner of the state that hands you every kind of weather to do it in.
