D's Trees

About D's Trees

January in Hawthorne can arrive on a clipper, a quick, sharp storm out of the northwest that sends fine powder hissing across the yards. D's Trees takes on the snow removal, clearing walks and driveways so people can get to work and kids can make the bus. The cold here runs dry and bright, and the sky after the storm turns a hard, clean blue. There is a plain joy in a sidewalk scraped down to concrete, square-edged and dark against the white. That clean line is a winter morning made usable again.
