About Readymen4U

Three in the morning in Harvey, a storm blowing sideways over the Dixie Highway, streetlights hazed orange and nobody out but the plows. Readymen4U works those hours, opening driveways, lots and walks across the south suburbs while the neighborhood sleeps under it. The job is plain and unforgiving: get the pavement bare, get the walks shoveled down to concrete, get salt onto the ice before it can set. By daylight the cars back out onto black asphalt and the day begins on time, which is the entire point of the night. Little Calumet winters do not negotiate, so the work goes out to meet them.
