Prairie Edge Landscape

About Prairie Edge Landscape

The ground around Green Valley is sandy and level, the kind that takes a rain fast and grows corn right to the edge of every yard. Prairie Edge Landscape works these blocks through the long Tazewell County summer, when thunderheads stack up in the west by late afternoon and the air goes still ahead of them. There is mowing to stay in front of, trimming close along foundations and fence posts, edges cut where turf meets concrete, and cleanups when the season turns over. The reward is simple and visible from the road: a lawn that looks deliberate, right up to the line where the open country starts again. Leaving a yard squared up against all that flat horizon is a good way to end an afternoon.
