About Vikingo Brothers LLC Landscape & Construction

At the north end of town the old Chain of Rocks Bridge runs out over the Mississippi, and the cottonwoods on Chouteau Island rattle in whatever wind comes up the channel. Midsummer evenings there stay bright until nearly nine, and Vikingo Brothers LLC Landscape & Construction is often still working in that long light, finishing a lawn — mowing, string trimming the fence lines, edging the sidewalk, clearing the drive of clippings. Granite City summers run humid and hard on turf, so the cut gets left tall enough to shade its own roots and the route comes back around on schedule rather than whenever. The last pass of the day, sun low and the grass laid over in stripes, is the one that stays with you. Then the trailer gate goes up and the yard is left quiet.
