About Premier Lawn Services & Landscaping

August in Granite City holds onto the day long past supper, and the best working light comes late, when the shade of Wilson Park's old trees stretches out across the grass. Premier Lawn Services & Landscaping runs its route through that heat — mowing at a height the summer can live with, edging walks and curbs, trimming around light poles and mailboxes, pulling the weeds that thrive in river-valley humidity out of the beds. Lawns off Nameoki Road open up wide and flat, and a wide lawn shows every pass you make, so the passes get made straight. When fall comes the same route turns to leaf work, hauling off what the maples let go. It is plain work repeated well, and a block of it looks like somebody has been paying attention.
