Granite City runs on rails as much as roads, and anyone who has waited at a crossing here has learned the town's particular brand of patience. J&S Lawn Masters builds a route around all of that, working yards from Nameoki down toward Madison with mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup on a set weekly turn. In winter the same routes carry plows instead, driveways opened, walks cleared, salt down before the ice has a chance to set. A crisp lawn in August and a bare drive in January are the same promise kept twice. The trains keep their schedule; so does the work.
