About Legacy Outdoor

Goodfield sits in open Woodford County farmland north of the Mackinaw's timber, near enough to the interstate to hear it and far enough away to be genuinely quiet. Legacy Outdoor works the cold months here, when a front crosses the flat and packs snow hard against every windward drive between Congerville and Deer Creek. The list is short — plowing, clearing walks, salting the ice that forms when a thaw refreezes at sundown — and the hours are long. Farm drives run a good distance out here, and there is a particular satisfaction in the last pass, when the whole length lies open and dark from the road to the door. Then the truck turns around for the next one, and somebody's morning starts on schedule.
