About Hillside Landscape Inc

Glenview keeps its old oaks — the woods at the Grove, the big trees leaning over the North Branch — and when the wind turns off Lake Michigan the snow arrives right behind it. Hillside Landscape Inc works those hours, plowing drives and lots, shoveling walks and entry steps, and salting where meltwater would only freeze again by daybreak. Lake snow is heavy and it comes fast, so the answer is to be out in it early and to come back while it is still falling. There is a quiet pride in a driveway squared to the pavement before the first train pulls out of the station, and in a front walk a neighbor crosses without thinking about it once. Winter nights take the work from Glenview into Northbrook, Golf, Morton Grove and Northfield.
