Down in the Green River bottoms the ground stays cold long after the calendar says spring, and the first mow of the year usually waits on it. Landscape Renovations follows that ground in both directions — mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups through the growing months, then plowing and ice control once the towpath along the Hennepin Canal disappears under white. Renovation is in the name because lawns get tired: thin turf, crowded beds, a grade that sends water the wrong way. Putting a lawn back together is slower work than cutting it, and a good deal more interesting to stand and look at in June. By December those same properties are on the plow list, and the circle closes.
