Thurman and Son Tree Service

About Thurman and Son Tree Service

Knox County is mostly section lines and black ground, but the Spoon River drags a ribbon of timber across it and nearly every farmstead has its own planted grove standing guard. Thurman and Son Tree Service works both kinds of place — removals in the yard and along the fence, trimming and pruning to keep a walnut or a burr oak from tearing itself apart in a crosswind. Winter carries the heavy jobs, when the ground bears weight and the shape of a tree is plain to read from the driveway. After a storm the phone does the scheduling, and the cleanup runs until the lane is open and the pasture is clear of tops. The work covers Knox County and out toward Galesburg, Knoxville, Abingdon and Wataga.
