J&J Lawn Care

About J&J Lawn Care

Late spring is the loudest green Galesburg gets — the old shade trees near Knox College leaf out over East Main, and every lawn under them grows an inch faster than anyone planned for. J&J Lawn Care meets that surge with a mower and a schedule: weekly cuts, trimming around trunks and fence lines, crisp edges where turf meets concrete. Come October the same yards need the opposite kind of attention, and cleanups clear them down to something neat before winter takes over. There is a plain satisfaction in pulling away from a finished lawn and seeing the lines run the length of it without a wobble. In a town that grew up around its campus lawns and its rail yards, keeping the grass honest feels like a fair way to spend a morning.
