White's Lawn Care

About White's Lawn Care

From the ridge roads outside Galena you can watch weather cross the driftless hills for an hour before it arrives, which is either a warning or a gift depending on whether the truck is loaded. White's Lawn Care uses that hour, and by the time the ridges have gone white the drives are getting opened, the walks are being cut through, and salt is going down on the shaded curves that stay slick past noon. In the warm half of the year the same routes are about mowing the long grassy slopes, trimming out the fencelines, edging the drives back to their true width. Country properties in this county measure their frontage in curves rather than feet. Keeping them clean in summer and open in winter is worth doing well.
