Galena is built on hills the glaciers never got around to flattening, which is wonderful to look at and a serious proposition when it snows. H&H Services Incorporated plows those grades, opening steep drives from the top down, clearing the walks and the flights of steps that connect one level of this town to the next, working salt into the pitch where a tire needs something to hold. In summer the same slopes get mowed on the diagonal, trimmed along stone wall and hillside bed, edged where the drive falls away. Working ground that tilts asks for care in both seasons. The reward is a hillside property you can reach in January and admire in July.
