North of Freeport the road toward Cedarville rolls through oak groves and pasture, ground the glaciers left uneven and interesting. Grove Lawn and Landscape keeps lawns and landscapes across that country, with mowing, trimming, edging and the seasonal cleanups that hold a yard tidy from the last frost to the first. Late May is the peak of it, when grass grows faster than anybody quite believes and every cut counts double. A sloped yard mowed with the contour instead of against it looks like an entirely different property, and that is exactly the sort of thing worth getting right. Come evening the stripes catch the low sun and the whole place looks settled.
