Arctic Snow & Ice Control

About Arctic Snow & Ice Control

Three in the morning on LaGrange Road, and the only things moving are plow lights and the wind coming flat across the open ground south of town. Arctic Snow & Ice Control keeps those hours in Frankfort, pushing drives and lots into clean windrows and laying salt so the first car of the day never has to think about it. A Will County storm can start as rain, turn over toward morning and glaze everything it touched — that turn is the whole job, and it gets watched for. Walks are shoveled down to the concrete, entries opened wide, piles set where the melt will drain instead of refreeze. By the time the sky goes gray over the rooftops the pavement is dark and wet and ordinary, which is exactly the point.
