Forrest is a grain elevator, a few straight streets and a horizon that goes all the way around, out where Livingston County lies flat under an enormous sky. Eagle Creek Outdoor Living keeps the village's lawns to that same clean geometry — mowing in even passes, trimming close to fences and foundations, edging the walks, and running cleanups at both ends of the season. The wind is always in it up here, so clippings go where the mower is pointed and the last pass is a sweep of the drive and the walk. By late June the corn stands head-high at the edge of town and the yards inside it look tidy as a made bed. Nothing showy — just a place kept in good order, week after week.
