Charles Wilson Tree Service

About Charles Wilson Tree Service

Fog lifts off the Illinois River and hangs in the Fondulac bluff timber until the sun finally gets over the top of it. Charles Wilson Tree Service starts the day in that gray, roping down a limb that has been leaning over a garage since the last big blow. Removal, trimming and pruning on these slopes are half rigging and half patience, because the ground falls away underfoot and nothing gets to land where it wants to. When a storm walks up the valley from the southwest, the cleanup goes in order — the drive opened first, then the fence line, then the last of the brush chipped and gone. In October the whole hillside above the water turns at once, and a well-shaped tree in the middle of it is a good thing to have made. The calls come from East Peoria, Washington, Morton and Creve Coeur.
