Willard's Landscaping & snow removal

About Willard's Landscaping & snow removal

Elgin climbs away from the Fox River in terraces, and the lawns on those bluff streets are cut into slopes that ask something of whoever mows them. Willard's Landscaping & snow removal works those yards through the long green half of the year — mowing, trimming and edging until the walk lines read clean against the grass and the June light still holds past nine o'clock over the water. Then the year turns, and the same driveways get plowed and salted before the first cars move on Dundee Avenue. Snow here comes on a west wind with open ground and nothing much to slow it, and the answer to that is simply being out in it early. There is a plain satisfaction in a lawn that looks finished and a drive that looks like winter never reached it.
